Community Service Project at 2012 NLLSA Conference in Los Angeles, California

Each year, students who attend the NLLSA Annual Conference have an opportunity to impact the community that hosts the Conference.  This year we are coordinating with five schools in the Los Angeles community in which 200 high school seniors will have an opportunity to visit the UCLA campus. Conference participants will have the chance to mentor high school students and review personal statements for college.

As a result, we hope that conference participants will continue to mentor and guide these high school students, checking in with their mentees from time to time. Conference participants will be gaining more than just a mentee, but the opportunity to make each one of these high school students empowered ready to take on the world!
