Recap of "Liderazgo," the 2011 Mid-Atlantic Regional Conference

NLLSA hosts inaugural Mid-Atlantic Regional Conference, March 9, 2011, Washington, D.C.

On Wednesday, March 9, 2011, The University of Maryland School of Law and NLLSA held the first Capitol Hill Conference featuring Congressman Charlie Gonzalez, Chairman of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, Dr. Trudi Morrison of the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts, and JoAnna Esty, Diversity Chair of the Federal Circuit Bar.

NLLSA presented Congressman Gonzalez with an award for Excellence in Public Service, and attendees learned of the wide variety of opportunities within the Judiciary and the "Do's and Don'ts" of Social Networking, followed by a reception with members of the Federal Circuit Bar.

Students from Georgetown, American, and Maryland Law had a chance to speak one-on-one with Sara Rearden, current President of the Federal Circuit Bar at the reception and network with a variety of Capitol Hill staff.  The event was a great success thanks to the wonderful presenters and students in attendance.
