NLLSA Collaborates with NBLSA, HNBA-LSD for Lobby Day, February 16-17, 2011, Washington, D.C. This year's Lobby Day, co-sponsored by the National Black Law Students Association (NBLSA), National Latina/o Law Student Association (NLLSA), and the Hispanic National Bar Association's Law Student Division (HNBA-LSD), was a wonderful success. Dozens of law students from across the country descended on Washington, D.C. to participate in the 2-day event on February 16-17. On Wednesday, February 16, students received critical insight into the practice of legislative advocacy by participating in valuable training provided by Patton Boggs LLP, one of the nation's leading law firms. Panel discussions were held where students participating in the event were able to interact with some of the bright leaders of the legislative advocacy and Capitol Hill communities. On Thursday, February 17, students dove right in and put to practice all the wisdom that was shared with them the day before by participating in meetings with members of Congress. Lobby Day was indeed a success, and the law students who attended will value their experience at this year's event. Below are images from the panels held at Patton Boggs on Wednesday, February 16:
