Patricia Guzmán, Tulane University
I was born in Puerto Rico and moved to the Dallas/Fort Worth area at the age
of two. I grew up in the great state of Texas and then attended the University
of Notre Dame. After college, I participated in a two year post-graduate
volunteer program in San Juan, PR. During my time in Puerto Rico, I worked
with homeless drug addicts in La Perla and started a photojournalism
project for kids in Cataño. I am now in my second year at Tulane University
Law School in New Orleans. Last summer I worked at the Orleans Public
Defenders Office. I am the president of La Alianza del Derecho, the Latino
student organization at Tulane.
